On the sidewalk billboard: “A cup of coffee and a good book is happiness.” Inside, displays of books are like magnets, 14,000 titles in all with access by special order to three million worldwide.
Flowers on café tables lead to a menu of literary crêpes. Green Eggs and Ham, Machiavelli, or Judy Blume can be eaten on a whim or with friends.
Nicole Magistro and Kristi Allio are onto something great for the community. “The café atmosphere adds energy to the bookstore environment,” says Nicole.
Morning sun. A cup of coffee. The newspaper or a magazine. All manner of subjects present themselves.
Nicole’s journalism degree and Kristi’s chef training are put to good use here. “Publishers call us to host writers,” Nicole says. There are weekly book and community events with apps and wine. From embroidery to Hebrew and French lessons, the Bookworm invites its neighborhood to visit.
