Vail Film Festival Partners with Clear Blue Skies

The 2008 Blue Sky Tribute awarded by the Vail Film Festival creates awareness of environmental issues. Its first recipient is Adrian Grenier, star of HBO’s Entourage, who makes noticeably green choices in his daily life.

Grenier uses photovoltaic cells for power, installed reclaimed hardwood floors, and insulates his Brooklyn residence with recycled denim.

He supports the conservation group, Forest Ethics, in its anti-junk mail campaign.

Known for film roles that include The Devil Wears Prada, Grenier is helping create The Green Life. This Discovery Channel show considers what individuals can do for the environment — promoting less travel, less waste, and making small daily changes.

Grenier believes that one’s immediate environment can affect the larger one. “It’s important what I do and what I consume in my life,” Grenier says. “In the process, I’ve been able to find a much more connected and creative way of living with my friends and family
