Snow, Snow, Snow
Best way to forget all your ski-town problems
Bury them all under record snowfall. Vail closed on April 13 with 463 inches of snow during the 2007-08 ski season, third most ever, and Beaver Creek set a new record with 427 inches.
And all of it came after a nearly bone-dry November that forced delayed openings statewide.
Vail pushed back opening day by five days, but during the Birds of Prey World Cup races in early December, the snow started falling and seemingly never stopped till closing day April 13, when the lifts shut down despite mid-winter conditions.
