Frampton Inducted Into Colorado Business Hall of Fame

Beaver Creek-based East West Partners’ managing partner Harry Frampton, whose vision helped grow Vail and Beaver Creek resorts into two of the world’s finest mountain resort destinations, has been inducted into the Colorado Business Hall of Fame.

Frampton served as president of Vail Associates, Inc., the creators of Vail and Beaver Creek Mountain resorts, from 1982 to 1986, when Beaver Creek was in its infancy and Vail was growing into a world-class ski and summer destination.

He then partnered with Mark Smith to form East West Partners, which went on to develop the Hyatt Regency Beaver Creek (today Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort & Spa) Harry Framptonand many other signature projects in Beaver Creek.

Frampton has served as chairman of the board for the Vail Valley Foundation, chairman of the board of trustees of the Urban Land Institute, director of the board of the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team, and in many other community leadership roles.

Today, East West Partners is developing resort properties in Vail, Beaver Creek, Summit County and Denver, as well as in Lake Tahoe, California, Deer Valley, Utah and the recently acquired Three Sisters Mountain Village in Banff, Canada. Frampton also remains a principal of Vail Valley-based Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate.
