New York, NY (January 19, 2010) – Mary Murcko, SVP/Publisher of Prevention announced today the premium sponsors of Prevention on the Slopes—the magazine’s first-ever branded, weekend-long consumer event which will take place Saturday, January 23 - Sunday, January 24 in Beaver Creek, Colorado. On the Slopes and its premier sponsors-- Post Foods, Vicks, Lubriderm & TheGreenNut.org —will kick off Prevention’s multi-platform 2010 branded event series followed by Prevention on the Run (February 2010), Breakthroughs (June 2010) & Take Charge Tour (October 2010).

Bringing Prevention’s cohesive health, wellness and age-defying beauty message to life, Prevention on the Slopes will play host to skiers, snowboarders and shoppers alike with its exclusive, experiential “Slopeside Lodge,” “Refresh Lodge” and “Spa Lodge” tents situated at the Centennial Mountain base. The tents will serve as the central hub for attendees and include daily renewal events, relaxing activities and sampling opportunities.  Tents are free and open to the public. 

Compliments of Post Foods, the “Slopeside Lodge,” will boast a full-service “Power-Up Breakfast Bar” fueling skiers with energizing and nutritious breakfast cereals throughout the morning hours.  The “Afternoon Recharge,” presented by TheGreenNut.org will offer guests “pick me up” pistachio snacks.  An Oxygen Bar along with samples of Lubriderm, will also be available to “Slopeside Lodge” visitors.    
 

Complete with an inviting Chamomile tea bar for ultimate relaxation, the “Refresh Lodge” will offer attendees a chance to rest and recharge.  A photo booth will also be available for guests to capture their best smiles. The “Refresh Lodge” will host an at-home spa package sweepstakes and a chance to win immunity-boosting Prevention prizes.

Spa therapists will offer therapeutic treatments including head & neck tension-relief massages and hot crème hand–repair reflexology at the “Spa Lodge.” Lotion samples will also be on-hand for consumer engagement.
