Bud Light Presents Vail Snow Daze’s First-Ever Snuggie Pub Crawl as a Part of Vail Mountain’s Winter Kick-off Event
Vail, Colo. –Dec. 8, 2009– Vail Snow Daze’s first annual Bud Light Snuggie Pub Crawl will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 9 in Vail Village from 7-10 p.m. Kicking off at 7 p.m., a limited supply of free Snuggies will be distributed to participants at Samana, Whiskey Jack’s and The Tap Room. Other participating bars include The George, The Red Lion, Vendetta’s and The Club.
Pub-crawlers will have the chance to win two tickets to the Yukon Kornelius concert on Friday, Dec. 11 at Dobson Ice Arena, two Private Reserve passes to the Barenaked Ladies concert on Saturday, Dec. 12 and a Rossi pro model snowboard with custom graphics by Stefan Lessard of Dave Matthews Band. In addition, participants who sport their Bud Light Snuggie around town will have the opportunity to win random giveaways at all participating bars.
“Wednesday’s Bud Light Snuggie pub-crawl is Vail’s second crawl of its kind this winter, coming on the heels of the first pub-crawl just weeks ago on Vail Mountain’s opening day,” said Adam Sutner, director of marketing for Vail Mountain. “The opening day crawl was a huge success and Snuggies were gone within five minutes. We expect another large turnout and are therefore conducting a raffle to win Snuggies this time around. Participants should arrive to their bar of choice promptly at 7 p.m. for their chance to win.”
Snuggies, a fleece robe turned backwards without belt loops, was made famous through the magic of infomercials. The Snuggie Pub Crawl concept started out as a fun and silly idea amongst friends according to SnuggiePubCrawl.com co-founder Dan Kuthy. The website launched in February 2009 and soon received more than 225,000 hits with people from around the country eager to get warm and comfy in public.
It’s all part of Vail Snow Daze, a super-charged week of non-stop music, on-mountain and in-town fun. A detailed schedule of events can be found on the Vail Snow Daze website at www.vailsnowdaze.com. Lodging packages start at $129 per night and include 2 tickets to the Yukon Kornelius concert (limited availability, first come, first served).
