VAIL SNOW DAZE ROCKS INTO SATURDAY WITH FREE HEADLINER CONCERT FROM ROCK SUPER GROUP YUKON KORNELIUS
Yukon Kornelius will play a free concert at Ford Park Saturday night that is set to be full of special guest appearances.

VAIL, Colo.—Dec. 9, 2011—Vail Snow Daze, Vail’s annual winter kick-off festival, rocks into Saturday with Yukon Kornelius presented by Bud Light, a free concert in Ford Park. The day’s events will also include the Reverb Eco Village and Demo Daze at the base of the Vista Bahn Express Lift, the Cadillac Experience in Solaris Plaza, après and after dark parties presented by Bud Light and Gifts that Give Back.
Bud Light brings Yukon Kornelius back to Vail Saturday night for a headliner concert in Ford Park. The band, comprised of members of Dave Matthews Band, Guster, Barnaked Ladies and Spymob, played Snow Daze two years ago and was a massive hit. Yukon’s shows are known for being extremely rare and jam-packed with guest appearances. On tap to play with the band on Saturday night are Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, Marc Roberge and Jerry DiPizzo of OAR, Dee Snider of Twisted Sister, actor Jason Biggs and Rashawn Ross of Dave Matthews Band. More guests are expected to make surprise appearances at the show as well. Alternative rockers Lit will open for Yukon Kornelius. The venue will open at 6 p.m. on Saturday evening and music will being at 6:30 p.m.
Guests are encouraged to get out to the concert early to participate in a text-to-win contest presented by Bud Light, where those 21 and over can text in to win a number of different prizes including passes for the VIP area that night, a $100 Bud Light bar tab at Vendetta’s following the concert and two passes to meet the band after the show. The giveaways will go live when the venue opens at 6 p.m. and the winners will be chosen throughout the evening.
Saturday’s schedule of events also includes Bud Light après and after dark parties:
- 4:30-6:30 p.m. – Bud Light Après Party at The George, Vail Village
- Following the concert – Bud Light Post Party at The Club | Vendetta’s | Whiskey Jack’s, Vail Village
Attendees of the après and after-dark parties can expect great specials on Bud Light and lots of free giveaways.
The Reverb Eco Village and Demo Daze will be at the base of the Vista Bahn on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. featuring brand expos from the likes of Maui Jim, Sprint, Muscle Milk, Rockstar, MATADOR® Beef Jerky, Stonyfield Farms, Evol Burritos, Rustic Crust and gear demos from Nordica and Ramp Sports. The Cadillac Experience will be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Solaris Plaza where guests can check out the latest from Cadillac.
On Saturday Roxy is hosting its fourth annual “Gifts that Give Back” holiday event. Celebrate at Roxy’s Vail location, 172 E Gore Creek Drive, from 12 to 6 p.m. The event will highlight vendors that donate a portion of their proceeds to non-profits. Featured vendors include Toms Shoes, Feed Bag, Falling Whistles, Pura Vida, Peace Love World, Heart U Back, and Skea. In addition, a percentage of the sales from the event will be donated to The Vail Breast Cancer Awareness Group.
Vail Snow Daze is the winter kick-off festival in Vail that includes a week of non-stop headliner concerts, nightly parties and more. Taking place this year Dec. 5-11, the lineup of entertainment for Vail Snow Daze includes free headliner concerts from Yukon Kornelius, Jakob Dylan and Band, Guster, The Polish Ambassador, Lit, Zach Heckendorf, The White Buffalo and DJ Mo:Rockin.
