Vail Recreation District Gears Up for Summer

Vail Recreation District Gears Up for Summer

Summer is just around the corner and the Vail Recreation District  will be available to be your headquarters for summer activities and programs. Season golf passes for the Vail Golf Club are now on sale with early season discounts through May 15 with discounts up to $200 over 2008 rates.

The golf club is scheduled to open May 15, weather permitting. Many other programs and activities will kickoff in late May and early June including the VRD’s day camps and sports camps  which will allow children to learn and explore or improve and refine sports skills.

Beginning Memorial Day weekend, the Vail Nature Center will offer existing programs including its wildflower walks and nature hikes, as well as new programs including an art and nature program. The Vail Tennis Center also will offer an array of tennis activities on its eight clay courts beginning Memorial Day weekend.

Throughout the summer, Dobson Ice Arena  will continue to provide public skating, leagues and camps, while the Vail Gymnastics Center will serve as Vail’s indoor tumbling playground with open gym, classes and camps. Now is a great time to plan to join the many offerings available through the Vail Recreation District this summer.
