Gear Up!

Gear up!  The snow is falling and its time to hit the slopes!  December
skiing and/or snowboarding you have got to bundle up!  Extra layers of long
underwear, liners for your gloves, gators and a hood on your coat (to keep
you dry from all the snow falling!) are a must!

I don't know about you, but its always fun to get a new outfit for the
season...it makes it fun when you feel good on the slopes!  I've seen some
really cool one pieces out there and some great new patterns from Volcom,
Burton and Salomon! If you're in Vail - swing by Pepi's and you'll find
something sophisticated and sleek, or Buzz's boards and you will definitely
find something funky!  Sports Authority in West Vail is always stocked with
all the brands as well as the Mountain Adventure Center at the base of Vail,
by the Vista Bahn!

I was strolling through the village the other day and was tempted by many
cute stores for everyday winter dressing...Pano had a table of cute winter
boots and they were all under $65!  Axel's window displays are of course
beautiful and coax you in to browse their fabulous clothing!  Luca Bruno and
Due have a wonderful selection of clothing that will put you in the ranks of
a celebrity!  Need a dress for a Holiday party or a tasteful outfit -
venture in there!

If you're in Beaver Creek walk around the village and you won't miss a
thing!  My favorite is Gorsuch - there is nothing bad looking in there!
Shoot down the hill to Avon and swing by The Board shop, they'll set you
right up with gear for the hill!  Valleygirl Boutique was having a sale last
week - I dropped by my magazines and couldn't help but look!  They have
affordable cute things for day or night mountain living!

After you head down to Avon, drive a little further west to Edwards - the
Riverwalk is packed with great stores!  American Furniture warehouse just
opened a new store and its great!  Lots of furniture that won't break the
bank!  The Bookworm of Edwards is a great place to stop in and grab a coffee
or a snack and book browse! I love a good book store and this one is my
favorites!
Its also that time of year to Christmas shop!  Kitchen Collage has great
gifts - if you're drawing a blank of what to buy your friend or parents - go
in there and you're sure to find something!  Across the street Renata's
Linen's has some great gift ideas as well!  She carries great linen's
obviously, but cute baby things too!

The great thing about the Vail Valley is wherever you go - you're sure to
find something - regardless if you're looking for it or not.  I'm a victim
of coming home with things I don't necessarily need, but I just couldn't
help myself!  Get out there and shop!! I'd love to hear what you've found
and/or your favorite places to go!  I love suggestions!
