Brrr....its cold out there!

Winter is here, whether you're excited or not - its time to bundle up!  The
fun part about the beginning of winter is when you change out your closet -
put your summer clothes away and bring out the winter attire you forgot you
had! Unfortunately for me, this is exciting for about a week or two until
you get tired of your last winter's clothes you wore everyday and want new
ones!  Its time for new sweaters, boots, coats, and hats!

If this winter is anything like last - you need a warm coat!  I'd recommend
a down jacket to keep you the warmest and if you really want to be cozy, a
long knee length jacket is your best bet!  I would also recommend a hood on
your jacket in case it snows or the wind is brutal - even with a hat on, a
hood really keeps the warmth in!  A scarf is also a great way to keep you
cozy!

Now for my favorite part - boots!  There are a ton of options out there!
The most important factor is warmth!  When your feet are cold - your entire
body is cold!  Look for fleece or fur lined and boots that are waterproof
also help with warmth!  You'll want waterproof boots if you're trudging
through the deep snow - if they aren't, you'll end up with wet feet and or
ruin your boots with water stains.  Another important factor is tread...its
cold up here and that means a lot of icy patches and slick spots! When you
have a good grip on the ground you won't fall and hurt yourself!  Ladies,
never fear, there are cute boots with all these warm weather features - I
recommend fur lined wedges for cute mountain boots!

When the temperatures drop you'll find you're reaching for your sweaters
rather than anything else in your closet! I prefer cashmere, its seems to be
the coziest fabric to wear and it breathes well, so it adjusts to your body
temperature.  I also love wool sweaters although throughout the day I start
to itch like crazy - so be sure you're not allergic or wear a good shirt
underneath so its not directly on your skin! Cowl-neck, turtleneck, crewneck
- I love them all.  Although the crewnecks you can add a cut scarf with your
ensemble!

Hopefully everyone is prepared for the cold winter months!  In order to
enjoy and embrace the mountain life, dressing warm and cozy is a must!

That's what I love about Colorado! When the sun shines, it gets warm. But you have to be prepared for a winter storm to roll in and temps to drop! I appreciate your observation though Corey! hehe
