Winter Season Kicks Off

Wow! Has this winter season gotten off to a great start.
Since Thanksgiving, Vail and Beaver Creek each has gotten
well over 100 inches of snow, more than 10 inches of that
within the last 48 hours and expect at least two feet more in the next couple of days. If not a record breaker, it's close to it.

As a Vail Valley resident since 1972, this amazes even me.

It’s powder heaven!

In the meantime, the big news in Colorado is that the ski season has begun. Both Arapahoe Basin and Loveland ski areas started their lifts last week and, even as I write this, I can look out on the snow-covered slopes of Beaver Creek Mountain. We’re cold and we’re happy!
